This Privacy Policy explains how our Android application handles documents, passwords, storage, and user interactions. By installing, opening, or utilizing PDF Password Unlock, you acknowledge the privacy practices described herein.

We respect your digital privacy as an absolute right. In direct contrast to web-based "online PDF converters" that require uploading sensitive documents to foreign remote cloud servers, PDF Password Unlock operates under a strict Zero-Collection Policy:

• No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not ask for, collect, or store names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, or location data.
• No Account Registration: The application does not contain login systems, account creation, or user authentication mechanisms.
• No Document Content Logging: We never log, cache remotely, analyze, or index the contents, text, images, or metadata of the PDF files you select.
• No Password Harvesting: The passwords you input to unlock or lock PDF files exist temporarily in RAM strictly for the duration of the cryptographic cipher routine, after which they are immediately garbage collected and discarded.
• No Device Fingerprinting: We do not record advertising IDs (GAID), IMEI numbers, MAC addresses, or hardware serial identifiers.

PDF Password Unlock executes all file parsing, decryption, encryption, and write operations entirely on your physical hardware using local Android binaries and libraries (including Apache PDFBox-Android architecture):

• PDF Decryption (Unlock): When removing a known password from an encrypted document, the file is read from your local storage, decrypted in memory using standard PDF security specifications (Standard Security Handler), and saved as an unrestricted PDF to your chosen output folder.
• PDF Encryption (Lock): When setting a new password, the document is secured using robust AES-128 / AES-256 bit encryption algorithms locally before being saved to storage.
• Local History Records: To assist you with file management, the App maintains a private, offline SQLite / Room database stored on your device containing processed file names, timestamps, and local file paths. This history never leaves your device and can be permanently cleared at any time with a single tap in Settings.

PDF Password Unlock requests only the minimal Android operating system permissions essential for its core document processing functionality:

Users can also specify any custom directory on their device using Android's directory picker (ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT_TREE).

Unlike many free utilities, PDF Password Unlock contains ZERO third-party advertising SDKs and ZERO analytics or tracking frameworks:

• No Google AdMob, Unity Ads, Facebook Audience Network, or other ad networks.
• No Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, Flurry, AppsFlyer, or Adjust trackers.
• No data brokers, behavioral monitoring, or marketing trackers.

Because no third-party code libraries are integrated into the application, no third party has the technical capability to observe, monitor, or intercept your document activities.

We leverage industry-standard cryptographic algorithms to ensure your documents receive maximum protection:

• Standard PDF Encryption: Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with 128-bit and 256-bit key length support conforming to ISO 32000 PDF specifications.
• Password Responsibility: Because encryption is mathematical and performed 100% offline, neither the App nor JEWEALITY maintains backdoor master keys. If you encrypt a document with a password, you are solely responsible for remembering that password.
• Non-Destructive Processing: The App never overwrites your original source document. Unlocked and locked files are output as distinct, newly generated files so your source file remains untouched.

Our application is safe for all audiences and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) as well as the EU GDPR-K provisions. We do not knowingly collect, request, or solicit personal data from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). Because our application does not collect personal data from any user, children can safely utilize the tool without risk of data harvesting.

PDF Password Unlock is designed as a document utility for lawful personal and professional use. Users agree to:

• Only unlock or decrypt PDF documents that they legally own or for which they have received express, authorized consent from the rightful document owner.
• Refrain from using this application to bypass security on unauthorized proprietary or illegal third-party materials.
• Maintain independent backup copies of original files before performing batch or encryption tasks.
